I did make one small substitution by using a tablespoon of smoked paprika in place of the liquid smoke, it seems like there is not enough data to call liquid smoke unhealthy, but I decided to play it safe and stick with something I am comfortable with.
Let me tell you that Lillie has the ultimate chicken taco recipe–served with a yummy chipotle sauce and topped off with mangos, avocados, and her very own pickled onions these tacos are happiness in a tortilla! But that is not all, they are so SIMPLE , and the cleanup is so EASY! Speaking of happiness in a tortilla, I use La Tortilla Factory’s organic, non-GMO, yellow corn tortillas, because the ingredients are so simple: WATER, STONEGROUND ORGANIC YELLOW CORN MASA FLOUR, ORGANIC GUAR GUM, LIME.
If you look at the label of corn tortillas at the store you may notice extra ingredients that look something like this: Whole Grain Corn, Water, Contains 2% Or Less Of The Following: Gum Blend, Preservatives (Propionic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Fumaric Acid), Acidity Regulator (Sodium Hydroxide), Lime.
Most likely GMO and containing extra preservatives, I’ll take the La Tortilla Factory more nutritious alternative. While the best option is probably homemade, La Tortilla Factory is about as close as it gets.

So for my household I subbed the smoked paprika for liquid smoke and I also used parsley in place of cilantro because my Fiancée is one of the unlucky folks who has a genetic aversion to cilantro!
